Tech'Assist
PO / Project ManagerComplete redefinition of Valeo's global technical support tool, responsible for supporting operations in dozens of countries. The project required large-scale functional design, robust technical documentation and international standardization of flows and data.
Context / Challenge
TechAssist was a strategic tool used by thousands of technicians, but suffered from obsolete technology, weak usability and an engineer-centric structure — far from real needs. Valeo had to renew the entire system, including functional architecture, technical content, navigation and export mechanisms for different markets and languages.
Intervention
Benchmark studies and deep usage analysis were conducted to identify critical failures and structure the new version. More than 90 pages of specifications were produced, including technical diagrams, detailed flows, documentation rules and navigation models. Multi-language and multi-instance management was organized. The intervention included the design and implementation of the XML export mechanism, essential for feeding local markets.
Impact
- Complete functional base, replacing the old version with a clear and scalable architecture.
- Robust documentation (+90 pages) to support the technical team and internationalization.
- XML export process implemented and standardized for multiple markets.
- Structured backlog, with epics, features and US ready for development.
- Better usability and consistency, correcting historical issues.
- Reduced technical dependence, thanks to standards and reusable processes.
